Greenwood Cafe, March 20th 2026<\/h1>

Today I’m experimenting with two things: flash lighting gels and a new 100mm lens.<\/p>

The new lens is limited to a 100mm focal length, which reduces my compositional options, but is a much faster lens with better image quality overall than before.<\/p>

The lighting gel adds this rich blue light to the shadows. The effect wasn’t quite so subtle as I was hoping for, but at least it adds some detail to the shadows.\u00a0<\/p>

Heavier post-processing on the pictures this time too – does the extra colour saturation help to deliver the “cozy coffeehouse vibes”? Let me know what you think.<\/p>
